I prefer boar bristle to badger and I use a Harry's Winston razor instead of a "safety" razor (I still carry scars from my early days with Gillette Blue blades). I used a badger brush for many years because everyone said badger was better but after purchasing an Omega boar brush for my travel kit, I bought this brush for home (chrome handle to please the wife, looks good on the counter).

I love the heft and longer soft, but firm, bristles of this brush. It lathers beautifully and the firmer bristles give me better control. The smell associated with boar brushes dissipates after a few shaves. Five stars all the way.
